The &#8220;We all have a role to play&#8221; campaign aimed to raise awareness about mental health and services, aligning with the theme of World Mental Health Day, &#8220;Our minds, our rights.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>From October 9-15, the campaign targeted ten priority communities in NSW: Arabic-speaking, Bangla, Chinese-speaking, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Nepalese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese communities.<\/p>\n<p>It was amplified through a Mental Health Month Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SLHDDiversityHub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social Media messages<\/a>, showcasing an array of valuable resources.<\/p>\n<p>Campaign participants had the opportunity to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain Essential Skills: By enrolling in the <a href=\"https:\/\/slhd.health.nsw.gov.au\/population-health\/healthy-living\/health-topic\/healthy-mind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mental Health First Aid course<\/a>, individuals learned how to identify, assist, and support those in need, becoming a lifeline rather than a bystander.<\/li>\n<li>Explore Nutrition and Healthy Eating: Discovering the connection between nutrition and mental health became possible through <a href=\"https:\/\/slhd.health.nsw.gov.au\/population-health\/healthy-living\/health-age\/nutrition-and-healthy-eating-education\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tailored education sessions<\/a> for adults 60+, available in Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and Vietnamese.<\/li>\n<li>Experience Mindfulness Wellbeing: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhcs.health.nsw.gov.au\/about-us\/campaigns-and-projects\/current-campaigns\/mindfulness-program-audio-resources\/mindfulness-program-audio-resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Multicultural Mindfulness audio tracks,<\/a> available in various languages, helped enhance mental wellbeing.
