Rebuild. Rise, alongside Australia\u2019s theme: No One Left Behind.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We encourage everyone to:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>rethink how we talk about HIV<\/li>\n<li>rebuild trust in testing and healthcare<\/li>\n<li>rise above fear, stigma and misinformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HIV is treatable, and with early testing and access to care, people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives. But stigma and silence still prevent many from getting tested or seeking help.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why World AIDS Day is so important \u2014 it\u2019s a time to share facts, support each other, and ensure no one is left behind.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We want everyone, in every community, to feel informed and supported,&#8217; said Shih-Chi Kao, Manager of the NSW Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service.<\/p>\n<p>What You Need to Know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV treatment is free in NSW, even without a Medicare card<\/li>\n<li>Free HIV self-testing options are available, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mytest.health.nsw.gov.au\/MediaToolKit\/MyTest%20-%202024.06.21%20-%20Multi-language%20Flyers.pdf\">MyTest<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.nsw.gov.au\/dbstest\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Dried Blood Spot Testing<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhahs.org.au\/images\/campaigns\/hiv\/2025\/WorldAIDSDay2025\/HIV-Awareness-Week-Toolkit-2025.pdf?utm_source=mhahs&amp;utm_medium=multi&amp;utm_campaign=MHAHSToolkit_WAD_campaign_2025\">Multilingual resources<\/a> and bilingual support are available to help navigate care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Explore the MHAHS website to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access HIV information in your language<\/li>\n<li>learn about testing options<\/li>\n<li>find support through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mhahs.org.au\/hiv\/living-with-hiv\/\">HIV Clinical Concierge Program<\/a><\/li>\n<li>download resources like HIV: What You Need to Know and 7 Good Reasons to Test for HIV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Support Your Community<\/p>\n<p>MHAHS offers in-language education sessions for community groups and media outlets.
